Red Light Therapy and Weight Loss: Does it work? How to Use RLT for Weight Reduction

Red Light Therapy is a technology that uses light waves of specific wavelength to stimulate cellular processes, promoting wellness and healing.

First, I ask, do you know what Red Light is? Have you heard of it before?

Maybe you have already heard of it by other names such as RLT or PhotoBioModulation (PBM) or as LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy)...

If the answer to this simple question is no then you need to know that Red Light is not a magic spell but is a light that is populating in the homes of more and more Americans because of the near miraculous effects it has in the treatment of particular diseases or medical conditions...

I repeat, RLT is not magic, but it is science!

And when the science is proven by medical or clinical studies both American and international then we are talking about truth!

In any case, if you still have doubts or perplexities I invite you to read our other interesting articles such as "How Red Light Therapy Works?" or "Is Red Light Therapy Safe? Is Red Light Therapy Dangerous?"

Today we are going to delve into a question that is receiving particular interest in this last period...

...in fact, more and more people are asking: Does Red Light Therapy Help for Weight Loss?

Let us look for the answer at the cellular level, aiming the crosshairs of our microscope at the cells that make up the fat in our body…

At the cellular level, Red Light thanks to its wavelengths manage to raise the energy state of the cell by going to make the mitochondrion inside the cell more efficient.

The concept explained in simpler words is that Red Light is able to make the cells work more efficiently.

So if an area of the body is inflamed then the inflammation will be reduced more quickly, if on the other hand the wound is open then it will heal more quickly, if on the other hand you have a cold or flu symptoms then you will be able to find relief much more quickly, if on the other hand you apply RLT to the cells that make up your fat what happens?

In the case of fat cells, Red Light Therapy goes to act on adipocytes, which are the cells of the adipose tissue that make up your fat.

The NIH (National Library of Medicine) has collected a lot of medical and clinical studies where the efficacy of RLT is demonstrated...

...and among these we also find studies where the impact that this light has on adipose tissue cells is demonstrated particularly in [1] where it is explained that adipocytes stimulated by the wavelengths are induced to release triglycerides, that is, the consequence of this is a reduction in the volume of the adipose cell and a measurable loss of fat.

Patients subjected to the experiment during a 4-week period experienced a loss of 2.15cm in waist circumference.

Further confirmation to what has just been written can be found in [2] where a 2013 study showed that 20 minutes of RLT every other day for two weeks removed one centimeter from participants' waists, thighs and hips.

In addition to this it should be emphasized that Red Light in addition to actually reducing weight is also able to help you reduce the annoying layer of fat in other ways as well…

For example, it is proven that Red Light due to its working principle is able to reduce stress....

We both know that when you are stressed the urge to put something under your teeth is irresistible. But Red Light blocks this bad instinct.

Of course, to lose weight in addition to good nutrition, you need to do a minimum of physical activity, and RLT can help you improve sports performance and reduce recovery time and avoid unpleasant joint inflammation.

So we have realized that for weight loss, RLT can also help you. So get ready to get back in shape and have a toned physique like you've always wanted in a natural, effective way without unpleasant side effects. Just as the doctors suggest!
