How Red Light Therapy Works?

It all began with an experiment conducted in a small laboratory in Hungary in 1967 where a researcher discovered that the Red Light he was testing on some lab rats was having an effect of regrowing hair that had been cut from their backs. And today, almost 50 years later, the scientific community is still conducting experiments and tests to determine what ailments or diseases RLT can cure or help heal. Although it has been proven that it can help combat ACNE, inflammation, hair loss, skin aging and some types of cancer, there are still many questions being asked by doctors. However, researchers agree on one thing - that Red Light therapy works! For anyone who does not know what it is, the question is simply one:

How does red light therapy work?

Red Light Therapy has many healing benefits and it is not a trick or a lie! The reason why it is so able to promote wellbeing and healing for so many different problems is because it does not have an effect on the problem itself, but has an effect on the mitochondria. 

We have to imagine that every cell we are made up of is like another organism, like it is made up of different organs that allow it to function properly, and the mitochondrion is considered the beating heart of the cell, in other words it is the power station of the entire cell. 

When Red Light is applied to the affected area what happens is that it stimulates the mitochondria inside the cell which raises the energy state of the cell, by doing this the cell is able to do its job more efficiently and is therefore able to repair and heal itself. The RLT device when applied to the area of the swelling increases blood circulation and triggers an antioxidant anti-stress action that promotes healing. Before choosing a Red Light device it is important that you check that the wavelength it is able to transmit is between 600 nm and 850 nm, this is considered a safe range within which no unwanted side effects can occur.
