How Red Light Therapy Works?

How Red Light Therapy Works?

Red Light Therapy is a technology that uses light waves of a specific wavelength to stimulate cellular processes, promoting well-being and healing

It all began with an experiment conducted in a small laboratory in Hungary in 1967 where a researcher discovered that the Red Light he was testing on some lab rats was having an effect of regrowing hair that had been cut from their backs. And today, almost 50 years later, the scientific community is still conducting experiments and tests to determine what ailments or diseases RLT can cure or help heal. Although it has been proven that it can help combat ACNE, inflammation, hair loss, skin aging and some types of cancer, there are still many questions being asked by doctors. However, researchers agree on one thing - that Red Light therapy works! For anyone who does not know what it is, the question is simply one:

How does red light therapy work?

Red Light Therapy has many healing benefits and it is not a trick or a lie! The reason why it is so able to promote wellbeing and healing for so many different problems is because it does not have an effect on the problem itself, but has an effect on the mitochondria.

We have to imagine that every cell we are made up of is like another organism, like it is made up of different organs that allow it to function properly, and the mitochondrion is considered the beating heart of the cell, in other words it is the power station of the entire cell.

When Red Light is applied to the affected area what happens is that it stimulates the mitochondria inside the cell which raises the energy state of the cell, by doing this the cell is able to do its job more efficiently and is therefore able to repair and heal itself. That is why it is so effective!

Suppose you are inflamed and you decide to use Red Light as a therapy, what happens? The RLT device when applied to the area of the swelling increases blood circulation and triggers an antioxidant anti-stress action that promotes healing. Thus the wavelengths energetically stimulate the cells by producing healing anti-inflammatories and reducing oxidative stress, thus accelerating healing by reducing inflammation and pain, as shown in numerous studies, particularly in [1].

Having understood that Red Light acts directly on the cells where it is applied, it is important to understand the intensity with which this energy is transmitted. In fact, there are different Red Lights with different wavelengths. Wavelengths that are not intense enough have no effect on your body so can cause no harm, while wavelengths that are too intense are harmful to your body, studies have shown that they can even promote the proliferation of cancers if the light is too strong, for more information see "Can RLT cause cancer?"

Before choosing a Red Light device it is important that you check that the wavelength it is able to transmit is between 600 nm and 850 nm, this is considered a safe range within which no unwanted side effects can occur. NoMore's devices have been developed and tested in the laboratory so that the 650nm wavelength cannot cause you and your loved ones any harm.

Red Light Therapy is therefore a treatment modality that works and that does not directly target the problem, but reinforces the cells' capacity for self-healing. It therefore presents itself as an innovative and natural solution that has all the credentials to replace the use of medicine or other invasive treatments.

You have therefore understood how Red Light therapeutic devices (such as those from NoMore) work and that they do not present any risks to your health, but the advice is still to talk to your doctor or dermatologist to establish an effective treatment plan for your specific problem or pathology that also includes the use of RLT devices.
