How to Prepare Your Skin For Red Light Therapy- How To Maximize RLT At Home

Red Light Therapy is a technology that uses light waves of a specific wavelength to stimulate cellular processes, promoting wellness and healing.

Although many people know what Red Light Therapy is, just as many do not know what it is all about. If you are among these people then I strongly encourage you to read our article "How red light therapy works?".

If, on the other hand, you have already experienced an RLT device firsthand and have been pleasantly surprised by the positive turns your life has taken, then you will surely be ready for what you are about to read now…

Today we are going to answer some of the most frequently asked questions we are receiving from our NoMore’s customers.

Let's start right away at sonic speed with the most popular one, which is: What should i put on my skin before Red Light Therapy?

While this is a simple question, even the most experienced users of Red Light sometimes do not know what to answer.

Obviously as we know Red Light due to its wave frequencies is able to penetrate the outermost skin layer to reach the innermost cells and induce them to self-repair and self-regeneration, which results in relief and well-being from your pain or particular medical condition.

So knowing that the waves must pass through the skin, it is important to use the right products before treatment so as to enhance the effectiveness of the therapy…

Oil-free products that contain ingredients that promote cell growth and collagen production, such as vitamin C, retinol, and peptides are good products to use to prepare your skin for RLT.

Instead, using products containing harsh chemicals is not recommended because they can irritate the skin and interfere with the effectiveness of the therapy.

Rather than thinking about what to smear on your face or body before some Red Light you might think about what to remove from your skin before the treatment.

However much a person cares about his or her personal hygiene, we all know that the skin will always have a thin film of dirt on it, so it becomes important to start therapy with clean skin…

At least the surface affected by the light is important to be clean…

Be sure to use a mild cleanser that does not contain harsh chemicals and fragrances, because these can irritate the skin and interfere with the effectiveness of the therapy.

In addition to dirt, we also need to remove dead cells and other debris from the surface of the skin, so we allow the light energy to equally penetrate the entire space where it is applied, ensuring maximum effects.

There are different methods of exfoliation and among the best for Red Light therapy we find classic physical exfoliants, such as scrubs and brushes, otherwise exfoliants with beta hydroxy acids BHA and with alpha hydroxy acids AHA are also fine.

So to recap, to make the most of RLT it is important to first properly cleanse and exfoliate the skin of the surface to be treated so that it does not dry out too much, then once the treatment is finished then special lotions, serums or natural creams that are not chemically aggressive can be applied.

Combining Red Light Therapy with products that stimulate collagen will amplify the anti-aging benefits, while combining with moisturizing formulations will promote deep hydration of the skin.

Our advice remains to first consult a skin care professional before embarking on any type of treatment for your skin, so that you receive the right advice on the right products to use for your skin.

Now that you know how to best prepare yourself to make the most of RLT devices you will be able to realize even better the amazing effects that Red Light can bring to your life and the lives of your loved ones!

Hi Nicole! We recommend using NoMoreColds 2 times a day, possibly one session in the morning and one in the evening, for 10 minutes at a time.

Nicole

I purchased your NoMore Colds and you have conflicting information in your literature – in one you advise to use it twice a day and in another you say just once a day so am wondering what I should be doing?
