Can Red Light Therapy Hurt Your Eyes?

Can Red Light Therapy Hurt Your Eyes?

Red Light Therapy is a technology that uses light waves of a specific wavelength to stimulate cellular processes, promoting wellness and healing.

Before you lose sight of the focus of this article, which is your eyes, I want you to know that RLT, which stands for Red Light Therapy, is a new technology that is making scientists go crazy with excitement because of the amazing beneficial effects it can bring to your body and all in a natural way! In fact, we at NoMore like to say that Red Light is not magic, but science! And science when proven and tested repeatedly is real!

Don't believe it yet! Then I suggest you take a look at our articles, "Is Red Light Therapy Safe? Is Red Light Therapy Dangerous?" and "Is Red Light Therapy Fake?" which were specially written to convert you from a heretic to a believer.

As the very famous William Shakespeare once said, "The eyes are the window to your soul," but what happens when the window to your soul malfunctions?

There are many special medical conditions and diseases concerning the eyes, and each is more delicate than the other.

Fortunately, RLT can help with some conditions concerning the organ of sight and that can allow you to better admire the beauty that everyday life gives us. God bless you, God bless America!

But so the question we ask is: Can Red Light Therapy Hurt your Eyes?

The answer is yes! RLT although proven safe is dangerous when used for too long a time on your eyeball.

I remind you that in order to be safe it must have certain wavelengths and a specific intensity, otherwise it will not only damage your eye but any other area of your body, so always remember to read the instruction manual carefully to be sure that the wavelengths do not exceed 850 nm and to know how often and for how long to use the therapeutic device.

In any case, if you use devices such as NoMore's with wavelengths of 660 nm you can sleep easy dreams as it is in the range considered safe by the American and International scientific community. As for use on the eye the advice to avoid unpleasantness is to use the therapeutic device for a maximum duration of 2 minutes a day every 2 days or so, or in any case the suggestion is to use the Red Light not every day constantly for a long period of time.

Now that you have read how to use RLT when applying it directly to your eyeball, it is interesting to know what eye-related conditions Red Light can help with.

One of them is that the older you get the more certain people struggle to distinguish different colors, that's when Red Light comes to the rescue! In fact, the GSA (Gerentological Society of America) demonstrated in [1] how short-term exposure can help the eyesight of the elderly by improving sensitivity to color contrast.

Or think about the amount of time we spend in front of a screen every day, it is impressive how people believe that this may not do any damage to the organ of vision in the near future... Fortunately, it has been shown how RLT can help here as well.

In fact macular degeneration can be caused by too much time spent in front of a digital screen and is the disease that affects the macula which is the central part of the retina, this is the cause of aging and is the main cause of central vision loss after the age of 55 usually. Red Light due to its working principle is able to raise the energy status of macular cells by inducing a natural self-repair and self-regeneration action. In this way, the

RLT has helped several patients improve their vision remarkably as has been demonstrated in [2].

Another eye disorder that Red Light can help is amblyopia, which affects younger people in the first decade of life. Fortunately, the NIH (National Library of Medicine) demonstrated in [3] how RLT successfully cured a group of adolescents and adults of amblyopia! How was all this possible! Thanks once again to the working principle of Red Light!

Among others we can find Corneal Injury [4], Diabetic Retinopathy [5], Glaucoma, Leber's Optic Neuropathy [6], Ocular Implants [7], Optic Nerve Injury [8], Retinitis [9].

So as you see there are many demonstrations conducted in real licensed laboratories that support the benefits that Red Light Therapy can bring.

Our advice always remains the same: it is important to consult your primary care physician before embarking on any treatment, in fact prevention is better than cure.

We can conclude by saying that RLT again has proven to be an effective, natural, and risk-free solution to help heal certain eye related conditions, reminding you that you should only use devices with wavelengths and intensities contained in the safe range, such as those from NoMore, and reminding you that you cannot use the eyes Red Light device for more than 2 minutes every 2 days or so.

That said, I wish you relief with Red Light whatever your pain is, good recovery from the NoMore team!
